Welcome to Arbitra.org. These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of our platform, reports, datasets, and testing services. By using our site or services, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

What We Offer

Arbitra provides independent benchmarking and testing of identity verification (IDV) solutions. Our services include:

  • • Benchmarking using real, synthetic and public data
  • • Testing of client IDV solutions in controlled environments
  • • Publication of comparative results and reports
Key Definitions
  • Services – All tools, reports, and evaluation offerings provided by Arbitra
  • Benchmarking – Comparative scoring using synthetic, real and public data
  • Synthetic Data – Computer-generated test data (not tied to real individuals)
  • Real User Profiles – Consent-based test data collected from real people
  • Vendors – Companies offering IDV systems (e.g., Jumio, Persona, Mitek)
Acceptable Use

You may use Arbitra for research, education, and authorized testing only. This includes:

  • • Reading benchmarking reports
  • • Submitting your solution for evaluation
  • • Participating in test environments with permission

You may not:

  • • Use our site for unlawful or deceptive purposes
  • • Copy or republish our reports or datasets without permission
  • • Attempt unauthorized testing of vendor systems
Intellectual Property

Our content and methods belong to Arbitra. While synthetic datasets are licensed under CC BY-NC 4.0, reports, methodologies, and visual scoring are proprietary.

If you'd like to use our results or content commercially, please contact us for permission.

Data Usage & Consent

We take privacy seriously.

  • • Real profiles are only used with signed consent
  • • Synthetic data is clearly labeled and anonymized
  • • All client testing is vendor-approved and securely stored

Disclaimers & Liability

We provide our services "as-is" and do not guarantee the accuracy of third-party data or test outcomes. Arbitra is not liable for:

  • • Reliance on our reports
  • • Data interpretation errors
  • • Any indirect or incidental damages
Third-Party Sites

We may link to external resources (e.g., G2, Gartner) for transparency. We do not control or endorse their content.

Who Can Use Arbitra

You must be at least 18 years old to use our site. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Termination Rights

We may suspend or block access if you violate these terms or engage in unethical activity.

Resolving Disputes

Disputes may be resolved through binding arbitration in San Francisco, California. Arbitra may also pursue legal remedies for misuse of its intellectual property.
